Diagnostic Reports & Assessments

I offer comprehensive diagnostic assessments for dyslexia, designed to identify a learner’s strengths and areas of difficulty with sensitivity and care. I hold an Assessment Practicing Certificate (APC) and I am an Associate Member of the British Dyslexia Association (AMBDA). 

Assessments are carried out in a calm, supportive environment to ensure each pupil feels at ease and able to perform at their best. This can be at your home or at the child's school (at the school's discretion). 

 

The process explores key areas such as literacy skills, underlying cognitive processes and learning styles, providing a detailed understanding of how the learner learns. I also incorporate games and rest breaks to break-up the session and generate some important brain breaks. 

Being AMBDA qualified, you can be assured that assessments are conducted to a high professional standard and are in line with current best practice. Reports are lifelong in nature.

Following the assessment, I provide a clear, thorough diagnostic report written in accessible language for parents, schools and professionals. Reports include a formal diagnosis where appropriate, alongside practical, evidence-based recommendations for support at home and in educational settings. These may include classroom strategies, reasonable adjustments and targeted interventions tailored to the individual.

My aim is not only to explain what the difficulties are, but to empower families and educators with a deeper understanding of the learner, ensuring the report becomes a meaningful tool for long-term support and positive outcomes.
