Specialist Tutoring

My specialist tutoring service is child-centred and strengths-based, recognising that progress looks different for every learner. 1:1 Sessions are flexible and responsive, adapting to the child’s needs on the day, whilst working towards meaningful, achievable goals. I place a strong emphasis on emotional wellbeing alongside academic development, supporting pupils to develop self-belief, resilience and a positive sense of themselves as learners. I have a Master's degree in Specific Learning Difficulties, hold Accredited Teacher Status (ATS) and I am an Associate Member of the British Dyslexia Association (AMBDA). I hold a Level 5 Autism Awareness Certificate.

As an experienced SENDCo, I have a good understanding and awareness of EBSA (Emotionally-based School Avoidance) and am able to support children as they reintegrate into the classroom. Lessons may take place during the day, afternoons or evenings.
